What time do you meet on Sunday?

Each Sunday we offer Bible Study for all ages at 9:30am (Except Easter Sunday, July through 2nd Sunday in August, and the last 3 Sundays of December) and Worship begins at 10:30am.

What are your worship services like?

Our worship consists of energetic, Christ-centered singing, prayer, and a 30-45 minute sermon from the scriptures.  We often will close with a question and answer time that allows the audience to ask deeper or clarifying questions about the sermon.

Is there a dress code?

There is not a dress code.  Most people wear business casual.  Our pastors typically wear khakis and a collared shirt.  You will seldom find someone in a suit, however you will find many variations in dress from a few ties to shorts.  As long as you are clothed modestly, you should feel right at home.

How do I know where to go?

There are only two buildings on our campus.  The first building on the right is our children’s building.  On Sunday’s this is where we hold Bible Study classes at 9:30am for birth through 7th grade as well as nursery and children’s church during the worship time at 10:30am.  This building also hosts our Women’s Life Group on Tuesday nights and our Men’s Discipleship Group gathering on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.  Our church offices are also located in this building.

The second, and newest, building is our worship center.  This is where we hold Bible Study for grades 8th-Adults at 9:30am and Worship at 10:30am.

How are your Bible Study classes divided?

Currently we have nursery classes divided as follows:

  • Guppie’s Class – Babies
  • Penguin’s Class-Toddlers
  • Monkey’s Class- Walkers
  • Lion’s Class – 3yrs & 4yrs

Children classes are divided as follows:

  • Kindergarten – 1st Grade
  • 2nd-4th Grade
  • 5th-7th Grade

8th grade through Adults meet together in the worship building.

Do you have a nursery?

We provide nursery for children under 4 years old.  We also provide Children’s Church for children 4 years through 1st grade.  We work hard to provide a safe environment of caring adults to care for the needs of your little ones.  Every worker must go through our background check process which is handled by an outside company.  Those who work are known to our leadership and are instructed about proper policies and procedures to safely care for your children.

Do you offer Children's Church?

We offer children’s church for children 1st grade and under.  If you would like for your child to be involved in Children’s Church, please bring them with you into the main service.  After our time of singing, before the sermon, they will be dismissed.  Our Children’s Church workers will take them over to the children’s building and lead them in worship.  Nursery for those under 4 is also available during worship and you can check them in at the Children’s building before worship begins.

What denomination is Live Oak Church?

We are part of the Southern Baptist Convention.

What version of the Bible do you use?

We use the ESV (English Standard Version).  We believe that most main stream versions do a great job of accurately presenting the meaning of the original languages.  We use the ESV because it is one of the most accurate translations and yet very readable.
